I have 2 real favorites, the first Darth Vader, he is not only my most favorite but my hero. I look up to him for his original intent of saving his loved ones using the teachings of the Sith, but I admire his fall deep into the Dark Side, and his lack of compassion when he first meets Luke, and having only pure anger towards Obi-Won. What I hated, and this is nothing against Lord Vader, that Lucas portrayed him as getting powned by Luke in ROTJ, it makes me sick.
My second favorite is the recent Darth Krayt, his life and abolishment of the Rule of Two, is a testament to the survivability the Dark side gives.

My favorite Sith would have to be first Darth Plagueis, as he perfected the art of appearing as nothing, but actually having his finger on the pulse of the universe.

My other is Darth Bane. I will admit the book trilogy enamored me with this character & his ruthlessness to accomplish his goals by any means necessary despite monumental obstacles & ultimately, seeking the secret of soul transference, not to live forever himself, but so his legacy of the Sith would endure. That is true immortality & for that, Bane should be applauded.

Just curious. Doesn't Palpatine fane weakness and to be less than he is also? And wasn't it Palpatine who waited till the right moment to strike hard and fast ensuring power? Just a thought.

I read the Darth Bane book as well, "Path of destruction". I liked it. It had some interesting points.

For me it would be Darth Vader and Darth Bane.

Darth Vader because he was one of the most powerfull Dark Lords ever. What he lacked in subtlety he made up for in pure power. Interestingly he also had strong views on duty and honour which is very much like the ideals of the Samurai. And would seek out worthy opponents.

Darth Bane because he was inovative and challenged the prevailing thoughts of his time. He was fearless, and adventurer and utterley ruthless. He also used cunning and subtlety whilst at the college on Korriban and on Russen with the Dark Brotherhood. Bane was the absolute example of what Sithism is to me.

Interestingly Vader was the embodiment of overt Sith power and control, whereas Bane embodied the covert existence of Sith power and control.
