I was reading a post by Azazel (http://forum.sithnet.net/forum/member.php?u=7) and it got me thinking.

What is your idea of the Sith religion???

Do you prostrate your self to Darth Revan for guidance on how to lead? Or maybe to Darth Sidious for the power to manipulate?

Maybe you see the dark side from the Sith as complementing an other religion??

Or maybe you do not want to believe in any religion you just want all the cool powers?
Do you just feel the force puling strings or taping it to make a ripple?? (added after posting)

Please post as I am interested in all opinions (even if it is to tell me to go forth and multiply)…

Well, Darth Storm, I am an athiest, so I dont find religion useful.

As for powers, I have come to believe that magic and science/technology are really the same thing. It all has to do with powers of observation, and the realization that many of our modern devices accomplish tasks which - in the past - could only be done with magic.

See arthur c clarke's third law.

I wish could go into depth about this, but if I did, I think I would be writing a small book. but in a nutshell, it is here...

spells = computer programs, scripts, and command
wands are used to execute spells so wands = computers
magic ball = viewer = computer screen or televison
brooms , personal vehicle, = motorcycle, ultralight
magic carpet = automobile, airplane

now here is the crux of the concept. this is what seperates the average person from the "wizard".

anybody can use a television to watch the news. anybody can purchase a security camera system and watch it.

but how many people can creativily combine those technologies, or invent new technologies, to create a different *personal* technology for their own use.

see my post in the alchemy/technology section about the real life sith infiltrator. it is along these lines.

A post by me made made someone think? thats the biggest vixtory a person could ever get in its life.

As for religion...go forth and multiply sounds very good to me, and I propose it to be the first commandment of sith religion.
Everything else...just go with the flow, hence there is no "figure ( in human form)" to wich fall on your knees and ask for a miracle, and worshiping would mean that we are inferiors, and that would go agains a sith believe in our hown superiority.
If you believe in the force, let it be a guide to your actions, not a leash to bound you or a wip to force you, that beeing the basis of the dark side.

Hope I can make you think some more.

To Darth Devious (http://forum.sithnet.net/forum/member.php?u=14). I have read the article on your sith infiltrator and found it most informative. I am at present using in my car a radar scanner for speed cameras and another one for “radio voce communications”. I have also installed monitoring programs at my work “so I know what is going down before it happens”.
This is a quote but I do not remember who from “any sufficiently advance technology will appear as magic to people who do not understand it” in this agree with your stance on technology.
To Azazel (http://forum.sithnet.net/forum/member.php?u=7) thank you for you ideas and inspiration.

darth storm. you got the jist of the quote, although you misquoted. that is Arthur C Clarke's third law.

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

my corollary is "Magic and technology are the same"

If you have any new technological developments that might benefit the sith, please do not hesitate to post them.

New Sith Tec belongs in the holocron but I am working on armored gauntlets to use in blocking slash’s from a knife but getting them light and undetectable by metal detectors is proving difficult… when I have them down I will post the plans.
