Does anybody have a symbol for the sith? It is not the imperial cog, that is the symbol for the empire. I want a symbol to put on my weapons and other equipment.
thanks. I found a sith order logo, but for some reason, I dont think that is it. It looks too amateurish.
I have searched for the same thing, and didnt have much luck also.

Hey Seti. I have not seen that one before. Who is the DLS?
I am not familiar with the sw comics. Sorry.

DLS is the Dark Lord of the Sith.
Some of those comics are actually pretty good
I dont what to be a party crasher, but, its suposed for the sith to have a symbol ?
Sith were never a "united" entity in order to have a trade mark, and it isnt suposed for the sith to show of by showing of symbols.
The idea of making one sounds good...
but, a horse drawed by a commitee is a camel....

I have an idea for a symbol. Basically it is an angular red "S" on a black background, surrounded by a circle with crossing lines that resembles the imperial cog. Ill draw it when I get home, and everybody else can let me know what they think.

So some sith have different symbols. A sith symbol is more of a personal emblem then.
Do you think that we can draw up a universal sith symbol?
I tend to think like that too.
Beeing the sith not exactly the most united grup, its kinda natural that each sith has a symbol.

I can see how that is because just one symbol would make u the same as another person with that same symbol and sith want to be different from other sith

I can see such symbols would be good for cetain sites or individual persons, but I do not think the Sith as a whole will ever settle on one symbol for all. Sith can be individualistic. Sithism came up with one for their site. Any one I would likely design would retain a connection to the Star Wars movies. I think we should be open to the idea of creating symbols, even if just for our selves or a site like this one (or your own). Those who feel inspired, go for it.
Art is a Force-inspired thing. When the Force flows, ideas flow; at least this is how it works for me. I have times where I am brain dead, and times of high inspiration. If the Force should be flowing well for me and I come up with an idea, I'll show it (but that is only if an idea comes).
I came upon a sith simbol on a star wars "essencial guide to weapons and technologie", and it has the "blessing" of lucas films.
As soon as i can, i will scan it, and place it here, but i still defend the idea of personalized simbols.
As promissed, here is the scan.

So that would be it then. We can use that symbol, and then add our own personalizations to it.
Does anybody agree?
well, sounds good for me
maybe i gety inspired over the weekend to draw my own symbol.

sounds cool...although that attachment link doesnt appear to work.. at least i cant see the pic when i click it
Dunno then, maybe one should blame the forum admin for not be able to do such a simple thing, like a attachment, work... :)
But i have a idea for the simbol already, lets see how it comes out.

Ahem... :palp:
Not my fault at all infact. Host changed server, new server doesnt have the GD or cURL Libraries installed on it (yet anyway...) Until it does, there will be problems with a few things... tbh im disappointed its taking them so long, requests were made on the 8th and the 12th, no definate answer to either... To get everything i need to have on the server may take another host-switch. :?
[Edit: Everything currently needed has been installed, datacenter where the host has his server seems to be the reason for the delay. Attachments, and everything else you can think of should be working fine. Those of you having problems with the edit feature is totally unrelated and i think i may have fixed that, just need to confirm]
Either way, im looking forward to seeing your design

I also look forward to seeing it. Hopefully it wont be as lame as the lucas arts sith symbol, as shown in the "The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology."
As promissed, here is the simbol.
Tell me what you think of it, and tomorrow i will explain what it means.
The quality is rather bad, because it was made on autocad and exported to jpeg...

Its actually rather good, clean and simple :)
My reading of this simbol is this:
the circle is the force, light and dark sides, for only sith can use both sides of it.
The surrunding is the universe, filled with miriades of planets and life forms, with the force as the center of it.
As ( in my opinion) ultimate sith simbol, is the red bladed light saber, the bringer of order to the galaxy.
Hope you all like it, and give some opinion.

I like it. It is simple and well suited to a logo. I like the meaning, especially the idea that Sith use both sides of the Force (a subtlty that so many forget).

I quoted you because I think you did well with this one. I am glad you said a Sith uses both sides of the Force in balance since of late everyone else ( on other sites as well ) says Sith only use the dark side abscent of light. I am glad you had the courage to paddle up stream so to speak. I liked the logo as well.
