The traditional Lucas "scouting of hyperspace routes" is inefficient at best. Starwars came during a time when astronomical understanding was still tenuous.

Even with the unrealistic ships found in starwars one would have to have birthing bays for people to carry on the quest of scouting new routes in between planets. This ships would have to be ridiculously huge and unweildy for any such thing to work.

one of the only ways to traverse such vast distances would have to be; yes wormholes, yet finding them is troublesome enough.

You'd have to collapse a star relatively near your planetary sphere, which would release a cosmic wave of destruction which would most likely destroy your planet. Also the electromagnetism needed to produce such an occurence would be CATASTROPHICALY IMMENSE!! The pressing feild would have to be many millions of times more powerful than the feild generated by even a small star.

You then have the issue of coordinating travel between worlds you don't even know exist, or at the best must wait for transmissions dictating spatial coordinatedes. They too would have to collapse a star near them (previous dellima increases exponentially here). What if they don't have the tech to do that? How will you get it to them? will you send the blueprints? what if they don't have the resources? ooy.

Even WITH star wars tech it just doesn't seem feasible at all.

and THEN there's the issue of ending up in a random dimension instead of appearing outside of the "associated" wormhole. and even IF you somehow managed to come out of the right point in infinite space and dimension; how the HELL would you escape that gravity!?

you wouldn't...

ever....

put basicaly...its not possible.
unless you made up equally unfeasible technologies with which to do it.
but any ideas are more than welcome.
I'd like to know what you all think about hyperspace travel and how it could be possible.

sorry everyone. don't mean to burst your bubbles.
