Darth Vallen

Hello,
(I guess before I get into any sort of introduction, yes, I'm the same person who posted as "Catherine" a few months ago. I'd forgotten I had registered here before and created this account this evening. So, yes, that's me, but I'd prefer to use this username. ;))
*bows* My name is Spark Vallen and yes, I'm the same one who has participated over on Ashla Knights as well as at the Force Academy and JEDI over the years. My online Force journey began in 1999, though my personal spiritual journey commenced in 1987. I'm turning 29 in two days (yikes). And what else would you like to know right off the bat?
Why I am here...
I don't believe in a division in the Force. I don't believe in holding myself back or being self-limiting. I think of myself very much as my own person, outside of peer pressure and I've always been that way. I have explored the Jedi construct as the self, I think, about as far as I can go between my offline studies and where I've journeyed online. That's not to say there's anything "wrong" with the Jedi path, but I am often reminded in life where the understood principles of being a Jedi don't jive with my experiences or needs in an emotional or practical sense.
While I was at work today, I was reading Darth Bane: Path of Destruction before my shift and then during my lunch. Fascinating book. Exploring that work of fiction also set me to thinking some.
Out of respect to Master Thompson, I sent him a PM this evening to let him know that I'd be signing up here with the intention of exploration and seeing where the journey takes me. I am here with the intention of pursuing training, unlearning and mastering some new concepts in furthering self-understanding and my corner of the galaxy.
This has been a mixed-up sort of introduction, but I haven't found a better way to express what's in my head tonight.
