What a week. So many people pissed me off that I had to retreat into my dark world and meditate on things. I slowly began to feel power, real power. Anger makes me feel energized - like electricity running through my muscles. I love that feeling. Now, I have found a feeling I like even more. After the rush of anger subsided, I felt the power of rage. Very different feeling, almost like being drunk but without the dizziness. The world was open, colors brighter and my mind sharper.
Anyone else been there??

Sometimes, yeah. It works out well if I can take some sort of action, that is channel the energy. It is a great time to get some aerobics in. However, if I have no outlet, the energy is counter productive.
The best feeling ever is when I felt that anger and rage and was on one of those protest marches in Washington D.C. Yes, colors were brighter and I felt energized and electric.
I recall one I was on in front of the Supreme Court building where these anarchists pounded these metal trashcans with two by fours. They pounded them so hard they were literally flattened into the street.
It is a harder proposition now to channel the rage since I have no protest marches to attend anymore. I mostly channel it into my exercizes.

Dear Lord Exar Kun
You hit a nerve here. I have more anger and rage than an active volcano. Why do you think that i wish I had Master Palpatine for real, not just inthe movies. I want to know the secret to the Vader choke. I want to be able to do the Vader choke as good as Moses did. Remember according to the Bible, when Moses called the archangel of death, Moses killed thousands of first born Egyptians in a single night. He even choked better than Vader in the Star Wars movies, unless of course Lucas has Vader choke better in the TV series he is makeing. I have surched far and wide for someone to be Master Palpatine to give me the key or knowledge that so far has eluded me because I am still powerless and my anger and rage have no where to go.
I have felt an anger that felt electric and charged. It seems to happen when I am angry or inraged and am combined with Anakin/ Vader. Shiva as you will. But I get sad because there is no where for this anger to go except in my exersizes. I wish you knew the secret to Sith lightening and the Vader choke because your advice has helped me greatly and i am Thankfull. My left hand is getting better by degrees. So thanks for your advice on that issue.

My pleasure. I too wish there were other outlets for the anger. I do fight in competitions, but I can only go so far. Feeling that power was incredible and I look foward to the time when I can duplicate it.

I never have to worry about repeating the anger rage thing because there is always someone that will make me angry. I live in a very combative home so anger is easily provided. I wish I could master the secret to REAL power with this anger. Many ancient writeings all write about this power. Many practical magic books attempt to give instruction on how to use this power. But to this day I have not yet actually achieved this power.

What is this REAL power? Curious to see what other people define as power.

Real power is absolute KNOWLEDGE! Knowledge in and about EVERYTHING! Knowledge is more powerful than strength.
As i always say, you keep the pen, I manage with the machine gun.
In fact, all wars were won by pacifists...
Absolute power is do whatever we whant to do, and I mean everything, without beeing bothered by anyone.

Real power would be a combonation of things. First would be a good healthy self asteem and with that a balanced confidence. Freedom from fear or absolute courage on the more earthly scale. Of course the ability to be master of the Vader choke like that of Moses. The ability to do the Force lightening as like Palpatine did in the movie. To be able to block bullets by useing the Force and to throw things with the Force. Added to that would be the power of Isis to call all the forces of nature to fight on your side against your opponant. The ability to minipulate like Palpatine. I mixed the practical with the more fancifull because both would be very powerfull if obtained. Some have a better chance of being forfilled. but all would add to your power. The ability to see into the near future would help in descision makeing. This would add to your power by the fact you can make more correct choices as opposed to wrong choices.

Real Power is Fear. Like Machiavelli said "It is better to be feared then to be loved". Fear is control that makes fear real power. As long as someone fears you then you can break them.

When you say power is fear you mean if they fear you but if you are the one that is afraid than that is weakness. So then you would desire courage or lack of fear. Of course I would love people to fear me.

One inevitable problem with fear, there is someone that is not always afraid. Tarkin had the idea rule by fear of force rather than force itself. The Rebellion was not afraid, therefore could not be controlled.
For fear to work, people must be made to see that there will be consequences for actions. There must also be a great deal of respect. Power, in my opinion, is the ability to influence others without them even knowing. Bane and Sidious had this power and became to of the greatest Sith ever.

A balance of punishment and reward works best. A strong government is one who has a sizeable number who agree with it. These will keep the rabble in line. That way there are many in the populace who will turn in a rebel. If the people lose confidence in a government, you can't count on them to defend it.
Example: Just after Sept. 11, I and many other Americans were willingly calling the FBI hotline to report any suspicious activity by anyone that may be a possible terrorist. I recall a newsstory about this waitress in Georgia who overheard some Arab-looking people talking about bombs while at a restaurant. Then Bush and co. blew it. They misled the public on Iraq, then did a lousy job of it. Airport security was a joke. It seemed fighting terrorism had more to do with giving contracts to Halliburton, etc. On and on it goes...but suffice to say, people are less willing to report suspicious activity. They have lost confidence in the war on terrorism.
Palpatine would never be so dumb. He would keep the loyalists. He would also keep confidence in the power and reach of his government. It would be a mix of respect and fear. I do not think he would ever allow the impression that his stormtroopers were incompetent.

You have a good point Empress Palpatine. That is power of the state in proper balance. The old Carrot and Stick rootine. That will do nicely.

The power of rage is truly amazing to me ever since I started using it when I was around 5 years old.The more Bullies picked on me the more they feed the sleeping beast that was my rage. When I got into fights I used it to acquire strength, endurance, and a residences to pain. But a few hours after I felt as if all the punches and kicks had hit me at once.Unfortunately it seems I have lost my connection with it over the years.Would anyone know how I might reestablish my connection?

When you are young, you are essentially an animal. As you age, the more intellictual, logical part of your brain begins to reign in the more emotional animal part. For the most part, this is a good thing.
However, sometimes the logical part of your brain is weak. Sometimes you have to give in to the anger, the trick is to be able to control when to give yourself over, and taking back control.
One thing that absolutely drives me nuts, is people who stand behind me and flick my ear. When I was in college, somebody whose nickname was turtle was doing exactly that while I was playing wolfenstein 3d (the old one). turtle was overweight, and probably weighed over 230 pounds. I weighed maybe 150 pounds soaking wet.
The ear flicking was driving me nuts. Finally I reached a point where my logical brain said ( and I really did hear this ) "you have to put a stop to this". Well, unfortunately, the animal part of my brain took this as a kill command. It felt like a trigger got pulled inside my head. I got up out of the chair, picked up turtle WITH ONE ARM, CARRIED HIM UNDER MY ARM ACROSS THE HALL, AND BEGAN TO LIFT HIM OVER THE STAIRWAY RAILING.
It took 5 guys to stop me and pull me off him. I retreated to my dorm room, and my logical part began to fight to regain control. It took several hours. Fortunately nobody bothered me during this time, as I was in a killing rage.
You are complaining about loosing touch with your rage. Well, you are getting older. I do not know how old you are now, but I suspect you are entering your adolescent years.
When you are a kid, fighting is not really that serious. However, when you become an adult a fight is something to avoid because it really is all out war. Fights between adults can become deadly. I know for a fact now that I am not a fighter, I am a killer. I do not fight people.
If I needed to "fight someone" today I would just leave them a present.
I would suggest not worrying about your seemingly loss of rage. Its still there, its part of you. You will have it, when you need it. The logical part of your head meanwhile is keeping you out of prison. This is a good thing.
If you want to practice finding your mental trigger, martial arts can help. However, I seem to remember that you said you already study martial arts.
Good luck, and don't worry about it.
