Altough still on vacations, i coulnt resist in starting this thread.
Some days ago, i visited Romenia, more precisely, Brams Castle, "sold" as Draculas castle to the turists.
Of course we all have eard dracula stories, but i guess that the truth is much more a lesson of life to all of us than i might have guessed at the begining.
In a brief resume, he was a hungarian prince, that was given as a hostage to the turkish by his father when he was young.
During that time he leard the ways of the turquish, and, after beeing released, he retourned to the palace, and, having learned the ways of the Hungarians, he proposed himself to rule Transilvania.
Altough he had much less men that the turks, he always managed to inflict to them heavy defeats, most of the times by use of devious techniques, such as infiltrated troops, night attacks with tropps using the enemies clothings, and, the most famous one, the impaling of the prisioners, by that inflicting fear among them, for he knew well how the turkish way of thinking was.
For all that, i propose we should take a closer look on the one that may well be one of the first Sith Lords of written history.

Not by a longshot...

research:

the sons of the serpent tribe (if there's even any info on them left the main site containing thier info has been taken down)

the men of Cutha

Early Gnostic movements (before they became "established")

Kahmehameha of hawaii

Aztec ritual and societal life

hell...Ramses 2nd

and even before all of that:

Study sumerian mythology (take it literaly and you'll be blown away by the things which you'll see)

A prime source of ACCURATE sumerian anthropology and mythology (for the two were inseprable with them) is the COMPLETE line of Zecharia Sitchins works.

I too am fascinated by existant and pre-existant masters.

Wait, that's not Vlad's Family Castle? Wow!

Well I too am familiar with some of the back story of Vlad Teppish's (not sure on the spelling there,) story. I would agree with you, I would say yeah, his story is a prime example of a life that has ALL of the tell signs of a Sith Lord's. It's got the prime elements:

(1) War

(2) Pain (emotional and physical)

(3) Loss

(4) Love

(5) Betrayal

(6) Drive (Intention, Hunger, Consumption)

At that time Romania were under the thumb of the Turk some what off and on. For several years. War between the two country's have been going on for years and years. Vlad's father the Prince, was betrayed by his country's clergy and the Turk had him buried alive I believe and took Vlad and his younger brother and had them imprisoned. The Turk, favoring the younger brother set him free and took him as his own while leaving the older brother, Vlad in prison.

I believe the Turk finally set Vlad free without his brother and Vlad returned to Romania. At some point he fell and love with what would be his Princess, a beautiful and well finished strict Orthodox Woman. Eventually he was backed and endorsed by the Romanian Orthodox Church so long as he battled under a banner of God and through his heritage, charism & focus to rid Romania of her enemy's, he raised an Army, drove back the Turk's army and regained his family's name, The Order Of Dracul or Dracula as he would later be called, and title as Prince of Romania. Vlad understood WAR. He understood that it wasn't enough to simply vanquish your enemy but to vanquish their spirit, their will to fight. Vlad just didn't crush you, he took prisnors and impaled them for others to see what happens to army's that march against Romania. Thus the name Vlad The Impaler. One very famous battle involved a Battle between the Romanian army and the army of the Turk. Commanding the Turk's army was Vlad's brother, when Vlad's army defeated the Turk's forces, Vlad found himself in a stand off with his own brother. Vlad, always the stronger, bested his brother and in an act of compassion, he let his brother escape with a warning to never return, for next time he would die by Vlad's sword.

He was also rumored to drink and soak bread in the blood of his enemy's, all the while dining on their flesh. This done while his wife waited with out knowing how sick and sinister her husband had become. He was one way with her, and another when Battle was upon him. Vlad soon turned his attention to the betrayers of his late Father, the Orthodox Clergy. He first befriended a very harsh and out spoken priest before having the rest of them executed....very, very graphically discribed mind you.

The priest would soon become one of Vlad's most trusted confidant's. However it wasn't long before Vlad turned his attention toward his own people under the guise of Stability of Nationalism, Security and peace within the country. What Vlad considered order, we would consider HELL. Here is one famous tale of Vlad's darkness. He once invited every leading personality of his country's community to a dinner party at his castle. Food and dance, all were having a merry time. After his wife the Princess retired for the evening, she woke to screams of women and men being tortured, skinned alive, limbs being torn off. Women were cut from their "cuts" to their throat. Men were disembowled, their genitals mutilated or all out castrated, the men forced to eat their wives and vise versa....it was all so very sick. I left **** out by the way!

The priest knowing that the Prince of Hell himself now rained over Romania, Vlad was a pagan, he wasn't even religious and soon Vlad stopped fighting under the Banner of the Church in mind and heart. The Romanian Clergy struck a deal with the Turk and the deep and sidious plan of betrayal was hatched. Soon with out warning the Turk attacked but with a bigger army and on two fronts, Vlad was caught by surprise and called for reinforcements. NONE CAME! His forces beaten and He was taken by the commander of the Turk's forces....HIS OWN BROTHER! His brother returned the favor of sparing Vlad's life. In one final act of hatred, a message was sent to the Princess stating that Vlad was killed in battle. Honoring her husband and riddled with grief, she the Princess, took a swan dive out of the highest window in the castle into the water below.

Some where in this story Vlad had a partnership and financial backing with a King (Might have been Hungry, I can't remember) which is where Vlad got his money for his army. Vlad beaten and his forces decimated, returned to this King for his aid. Vlad's (as I said, began to believe his own **** and turned his back on all of those that endored and supported him,) request for help was met with the King confronting Vlad about all the nice things Vlad said about him courtousy one more courtousy of the Priest. The king pissed, imprisoned Vlad again for a few years and the Turk moved back into Romania, the Romanian Clergy regained their standing and power, all was back to normal.

For some wacked out reason, the King eventaully let Vlad go with money and an army to fight the Turk. On the condition thought....he married the Kings wife and renounced his faith in favor of becoming a Catholic. He accepted.

He returned to Romanian and reassembled an army. He foolishly planned march against the Turk's army and consulted the Priest he thought was his friend and confidant. He told him of all his plans and how we would proceed in battle. The Priest and the rest of the Clergy didn't want him back, they had their position secured and now that he was marching under a Catholic Banner, they could not have him win this fight under any circumstances. So before Vlad could even get his game ready to go, he was requested to meet the Priest at his Church, ambushed! Vlad's top Lieutenant's never new, never suspected that Vlad had been betrayed yet again and by their own Clergy. Vlad was confronted by his brother and many of his best soldiers. Vlad was bested, he never had a chance and before he was killed, the Priest wispered into Vlad's ear that HE was the instrument of Vlad's fathers betrayal.

Here is where it gets fuzzy and weird (Yeah right...I know...) He was killed and I think the Priest thinking his was the Son of the Devil, had his limbs seperated from his body so that he could not rise from the dead. Before he was killed, the Priest gave some type of incantation to keep him from rising from the dead. He was in tombed in the Chruch so that his body could not serve as an inspiration to others, his son (yes he had a son,) tried to take his place as commander and chief of the Romanian army but he too was betrayed and murdered.

Several days later, while praying in the Church, the Priest is said to have been confronted by Vlad's ghost. This was done some how in the way the Priest gave that final incantation. The priest was found I believe strangled, slumped over the empty tomb of Vlad the Impaler, Dracula.

This is from my memory so take it in good faith that I remembered what I could. I would say that Vlad's story is definately a qualifier for Sithism.

All that only by memorie ? Great work Master Thompson.
There is only a snall detail in all that, history has been written by someone that had a memorie problem, because on that time, transilvania belonged to Hungary.
Actualy all of that region lies on historical mislead path, for most of what is "known", came from Mr.Bram Strokerīs sayings...that wanted to sell a book.
The Romenians and Hungarians have a diferent version of the storie...all that blood thirsty thing is just mabojambo, but the deeds of the count Vlad are far greater than the the majoraty imagine.
Thats why I sugested to make him a Sithian role model...
And thank you for the sujestions Omnihilus.

You know I thought that but I wasn't sure. I knew there was some association with the King Hungry and now that does make more sense. The King of Hungry used Vlad to do his fighting against the Turk.

Exactly, King Mathias of hungary.
And, by the sound of it, Vlad managed to make a good job in keeping the turks at bay.
central Europe Sith Lord.
